Bullhead City BATS and Franchise License Commission Seats Available
BThe Bullhead City Clerk’s Office is currently accepting applications from citizens interested in volunteering to serve on the Franchise License Commission and the Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (BATS).
The Franchise License Commission provides recommendations to the Bullhead City Council concerning policies, rules and regulations pertaining to the city’s franchise agreements and licenses, and evaluates citizen concerns and suggestions. The Commission meets quarterly or on an as-needed basis.
Three terms on the Franchise License Commission will expire on December 31, 2017. The positions have three-year terms effective January 1, 2018 and expire on December 30, 2020.
The BATS Commission makes recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding the development and maintenance of a public transportation system for the city. The BATS Commission meets quarterly on the first Monday of February, May, August, and November; and holds special meetings as required.
One partial term on the BATS Commission is available. The term would be effective immediately upon City Council approval and expire on September 30, 2019.
To be eligible, an applicant should have a general understanding of the issues addressed by the commission or board seat they are applying for. All interested citizens may apply.

Applications should be submitted to the City Clerk to be considered for appointment by the Bullhead City Council. Submissions can either be faxed to 928-763-0131 Attention: City Clerk’s Office, emailed to email@example.com, or sent via U.S. mail.
The City Council will consider all applications received prior to December 1st at the December 19, 2017 Council meeting. Those submitting applications are encouraged to attend the meeting on December 19.
