The Tactical Response Unit (T.R.U.) consists of four teams:

- Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.)
- Bomb Technicians
- Crisis Negotiations Team
- Communication Specialists
 
 The T.R.U. responds to high risk situations, felony search warrants, barricaded subjects, hostage and negotiation situations and bomb/explosive calls.

T.R.U. teams train monthly in realistic scenarios and emergency response to businesses and schools.

Dive Team

The Bullhead City Police Department Dive Team consists of commissioned officers who are certified divers that can assist surrounding agencies.  All divers are emergency response and swift water rescue certified.

Missions include body recovery, swift water rescue, evidence search and recovery, underwater investigation and maintenance to aids to navigation.

The team trains monthly in river diving, search and recovery, deep diving, oxygen administration, first aid, cardio pulmonary resuscitation and rescue.
