The Planning and Zoning Division office is located in City Hall at 2355 Trane Rd., Bullhead City, AZ  86442.  Planning staff can be reached by calling (928) 763-0123.  Faxes can be sent to (928) 763-0131.
 
The following handouts have been compiled in order to outline the most common type of permit submittals.  All requirements for a specific project type may not be listed.

Planning & Zoning Permit Handouts: 

Fences / Retaining Walls:

Retaining walls: A City permit is required for the construction of retaining walls. Retaining walls to be constructed in a recorded easement also require a City Encroachment permit.

Fences: A City permit is required for the construction of fences.  Fences must meet City municipal code location, height and material requirements.  Fences to be constructed in a recorded easement also require a City Encroachment permit.

Encroachment: Fences and Retaining Walls to be constructed in a recorded easement (PUE, DE, etc.) require a City Encroachment permit.  Some encroachments require utility company approvals and may take additional time to process.

Commercial and Multi-Family: 

All submittals that require review by the City's Engineering division are required to provide a digital submittal, in addition to, the required hard copy plans.
